A guy at the thrift store said my CRT collection was junk because 'nobody plays Blurays on tube TVs anymore'
He actually seemed serious, but it got me wondering if I'm just hoarding old tech for nostalgia when maybe I should be more picky about what I keep, has anyone else had a random comment make them second guess their whole setup?

Ignore that dude, CRTs are literally the only way to properly play light gun games and retro consoles look way better on them than flatscreens anyway. If you have the space and they work fine just keep what makes you happy lol.

Wait wait wait, did you just say "literally the only way" like there's not a single other option out there? Because I'm pretty sure my buddy has some kind of weird emulator setup with a Wii remote that kinda works, but okay. Honestly though, you're not wrong about the retro consoles looking better, I swear my old SNES looks like a blurry mess on my modern TV compared to the one my grandma still has in her basement.
