The free cactus I grabbed from a garage sale turned into a massive monster in 8 months

I used to totally believe that plants needed constant care and attention to grow big, but my little aloe vera proved me wrong. I stuck it in a dark corner of my bathroom and forgot to water it for like two months straight. It ended up sprouting three new pups and getting so top heavy I had to chop it in half just to keep it from tipping over. That cactus you got sounds like a beast, maybe some plants just like being left alone to do their thing.

Spent 45 minutes untangling a spool of RG6 yesterday

Grab the box and spin it so the cable comes off the side instead of the middle. That's the trick I learned after tossing way too much footage from tangled spools. Also check the date code on the box - stuff that sat in a hot warehouse too long gets sticky and loves to knot up on its own. If you're pulling more than 20 feet at a time, let the box rest on its side and feed it out slow instead of yanking.

Can we talk about how rope toys just don't last like they used to

Wait, are we sure it's actually worse or did you just finally notice the flaws everyone else already knew about, @hugo_cooper? Can't help feel like sometimes we convince ourselves something's bad just because the internet told us to.

The one trail marker that sent me half a mile off course last weekend

Did someone seriously mess with your sign? That's not a prank, that's just being a jerk. I had a similar thing happen on the Centennial Trail last fall. Someone spray painted over the arrow on a post and pointed it straight up a steep ridge. Wasted two hours before I figured it out. Trail karma will get them though. Hope they step in a hole and twist an ankle. Nothing ruins a good hike like trusting a sign that's been sabotaged.
