Broke down and bought a $40 self-cleaning litter box last week, and my cat just stared at it for 15 minutes before pooping on the floor next to it.

I caught him mid-squat right beside the fancy box and snapped a photo that looks like he's giving me the most judgmental side-eye ever, has anyone else's cat totally rejected a new gadget like this?

Had a buddy who dropped $60 on one of those fancy timed feeders that rotates the food. His cat just swatted at it till it broke, then looked at him like "fix my real bowl, idiot." Ended up eating out of a paper plate for a week while he returned the thing. That side eye photo you got is pure gold, cats hate change more than anything.
