My sister told me my cat photos all look like mugshots - here's what I changed

She said every picture I take of Mittens makes her look like she's being booked at the station. No natural light, always a flash, and the angle is from below like a security camera. Since she pointed that out I started using window light and getting down to the cat's eye level. Anyone else get that kind of blunt feedback from a family member and actually had it improve your pet photos?

Getting down to eye level made my cat pics go from mugshots to centerfolds lol.
