My Hawaiian vs. BBQ chicken showdown ended badly

Last Friday at Pizza Palace in Denver, I had to pick between pineapple and ham versus BBQ chicken with bacon. I went with the Hawaiian because I was craving sweet and salty, but the pineapple was so watery it turned the whole middle into a sad, soggy mess. I should have stuck with the BBQ chicken since I know that place uses thick cut bacon. Has anyone else regretted a topping choice based on the crust holding up?

Feel you man. It's like a gamble every time you order a wet topping on a thin crust, the pizza just can't handle it. Reminds me of how people pack their backpacks all wrong and then wonder why stuff falls out, everything has a structural limit you gotta respect.

Respectfully disagree with you @butler.mark, the crust is fine if you don't overload it with soggy pineapple... Hawaiian just isn't built for structural integrity like BBQ chicken is.
