Everyone raves about thrift store prices but I found a $150 vintage camera for $12 at a garage sale in Tulsa last summer
The lady said it was her son's old junk but I knew from the serial number it was a limited run, and after 3 hours of cleaning it still works perfectly how many of you have actually scored a real steal that wasn't just a broken lamp someone painted?

And the funniest part is that garage sale lady probably thought she pulled one over on you, when really you walked away with a camera worth ten times what you paid. It's like how people will toss out a perfectly good wooden chair just because it has a wobbly leg, not realizing a little glue fixes it in five minutes. There's this weird thing where we undervalue stuff we don't understand, and that's exactly where the real scores hide (right in plain sight).
