Hit 500 hours of slow cooker use last year and it scared me
I counted up my slow cooker sessions last night and realized I used it 500 times in 2023. That's like 1.4 times a day average. Most of those were just dumping canned beans and salsa for soup but still. The lid seal on my 6-quart is starting to crack from all the heat cycles. Has anyone else worn out a slow cooker from overuse like this?
Saw a guy on YouTube who ran his slow cooker over 1000 times before the heating element finally gave out. Cracked lid seal is just the start of the wear and tear.
