Hot take: Cheap store brand salsa works better than fancy stuff in a slow cooker
I used to swear by the expensive organic salsa for my pulled pork, but last week I grabbed a $2 jar of store brand on a whim. It broke down way better over 8 hours and didn't get that weird watery separation. Anyone else find cheaper ingredients actually do the job better?

Less sugar and stabilizers, they break down cleaner in the heat.

My buddy tried making pops with less sugar and stabilizers last summer. They melted into a puddle before he even got them out of the molds.
