PSA: Rushing the epoxy cure before grinding ruined a whole floor section
On a library job last month, the spec called for 96 hours of cure time for the epoxy binder. I got pressured to start grinding after 72 hours to meet the move in date. The epoxy was still tacky, so it loaded up the diamonds and left a hazy, uneven finish. We had to wait another full day, then grind the entire area again from scratch.

Has this story changed my mind about rushing epoxy?

Wasn't that varnish... not epoxy, @william_torres76?

Your mention of rushing epoxy made me remember varnishing a table too quickly last year. I was in a hurry to get it done before guests arrived. I put on the second coat before the first one had fully dried. The finish ended up with ugly streaks and never set right. I had to strip the whole thing and redo it from scratch. That kind of rush just isn't worth it for any project that needs patience.

Oof, @the_nina knows that pain - patience wins every time.
