My 2006 flip phone ringtone took me 3 nights to bring back

Last week I dug out my old Samsung from a drawer, dead battery and all. After a full day charging it, I discovered the custom ringtone I made in 2006 was gone, wiped by a factory reset I forgot about. I spent about 9 total hours across 3 nights messing with MIDI files and a weird USB cable just to recreate it on my current phone. Turns out the song was just a chopped snippet of a PS2 menu track, and I found it on a fan forum from 2011. Now I rock that same 8-bit loop for calls, and honestly it's cleaner than any ringtone app. Anyone else resurrected some ancient sound or app just for the nostalgia?

Three nights and a dead battery just to resurrect a PS2 menu track, that's dedication. I once spent a weekend hunting down the boot sound from my old Game Boy Color just to realize it was literally two notes. Your 8-bit loop is probably the cleanest thing on your phone, though, way better than paying for some celebrity voice recording.
