Shoutout to that CRT monitor I found in my dad's garage last weekend

I plugged in that old Dell CRT monitor from 2002 to play some retro games and the picture was actually sharper than my modern flat screen on pixel art, so I guess I'm keeping that 50 pound beast on my desk now - anyone else still drag a CRT out for old games?

my buddy mark found his old Sony Trinitron in his mom's basement and set it up in his living room. his wife wasn't thrilled but he swore the light gun games on his PS1 worked way better than on his new tv. ended up keeping it next to the couch for like six months till she made him put it back.

Wait, did he really keep it there for six months? I gotta say, light gun games do work way better on a CRT, that part is true. But I think his wife was actually being pretty patient letting it stay for that long. Those old Trinitrons are super heavy and take up a ton of space, so I bet she was annoyed from day one. My cousin tried the same thing with his old Commodore monitor and his girlfriend made him move it to the garage after like two weeks. So six months sounds like a win for Mark honestly.
