Vent: I miss when finding a song meant digging through a friend's CD binder

So I was trying to show my younger cousin a track from my favorite band's 2003 album last night, and I spent like 10 minutes scrolling through three different streaming apps before I found a version that wasn't a live recording. It made me think back to 2005 when I would just grab my buddy's CD binder from his car, flip through the pages alphabetically, and pop the disc in his stereo without any buffering or ads. Now I've got 50 million songs at my fingertips but I literally can't find the one I want half the time because the UI is cluttered with playlists and podcast suggestions. The change happened around 2016 when I finally ditched my iPod classic after the battery gave out, and suddenly I was at the mercy of algorithm-based menus. Is anyone else annoyed by how streaming killed the simple joy of physically pulling out a CD and just pressing play?
