Spent $40 on a 'broken' 1984 IBM XT keyboard from a thrift store

Picked up this grimy beige board at a Goodwill in Salem last Saturday for $40 because the tag said 'as-is, no returns'. Got it home, opened it up, and found a dead cockroach stuck under the spacebar switch. Cleaned it out with compressed air and alcohol, and the whole thing works perfectly now. Anyone else find nasty surprises inside their vintage finds?

My buddy Dave found a rolled-up $20 bill inside a Commodore 64 he grabbed at a flea market in Portland once. Dried out and brittle, but still spendable. He figures some kid stashed it there for a rainy day back in 1985 and just forgot about it. Not quite a cockroach though, your story is definitely weirder. Took him an hour to clean the cigarette smoke residue off the case with vinegar and elbow grease.
