Thrift store classical records are a total gamble now...

I used to find decent Deutsche Grammophon pressings for a dollar all the time at Goodwill in Portland. But in the last 6 months, every single classical bin I dig through is just Reader's Digest box sets and scratched up choir albums from churches. Has anyone else noticed the good classical stuff completely drying up at thrift stores lately?

Does anyone else wonder if the resellers finally figured out the classical section and are just poaching the good stuff before it ever hits the floor? I know a couple of guys who flip records online and they told me they scan the bins with an app now that identifies valuable pressings by the label matrix numbers. The golden age of the $1 Deutsche Grammophon find is probably dead because the arbitrage is too obvious.

Yeah the apps ruined it for everyone honestly.
