Caught between buying my cat a fancy water fountain vs. just leaving the faucet dripping

My cat Luna refuses to drink from a bowl, she'll only drink running water. So I had to pick between a $40 pet fountain or just leaving the bathroom sink on a slow drip all day. I went with the fountain after 3 days of a high water bill, and the first time she used it she stuck her whole face under the stream and sneezed water all over the wall. Has anyone else's pet rejected a fountain for something weirder?
