Everyone thinks their dog is "singing along" but most are just barking

I see videos every day where people claim their dog is harmonizing with a song, but 9 times out of 10 it's just a confused howl at a high note. My husky Luna actually matches pitch to piano chords, and it's a completely different sound - softer, with actual breath control. Has anyone else noticed the difference between real mimicry and just noise?

Gotta be honest here, this feels like a LOT of gatekeeping over dog noises. My neighbor's beagle "sings" to the ice cream truck jingle and it's just straight up screaming. But it makes her happy so who cares? You really trying to say your husky has "breath control" like she's training for American Idol or something? Dogs bark, howl, whine, make weird sounds. Let people have their fun.

Had the exact same opinion until I actually recorded my dog and heard him matching pitch to a piano note. Changed my whole perspective on it.
