Dropped $60 on an AI voice tool for my night shift notes and it cut my charting in half
I record myself reading my patients' updates on the drive home and the thing turns it into clean notes, so instead of 90 minutes of typing at 7am I'm done in 40. Still don't trust it with med dosages though, I check every number by hand. Anyone else using AI for shift stuff, or am I the only one paranoid enough to double check it?
60 bucks is nothing if it saves you 50 minutes a shift. That's like two hours a week back. But yeah, never trust it with numbers. I tried a similar setup for my mom's care notes and it turned her blood pressure med into a dosage that would've been way off. The voice to text part is fine, it's the guessing part that scares me. You're smart to check every number by hand, that's not paranoid, that's just not being an idiot.
