Tried an AI scheduling assistant for a week and my calendar became a total mess

I gave that new AI scheduling tool a shot for my freelance projects. It kept double booking my time because it didn't understand that a 30 minute task actually takes me an hour. After 5 days I had missed 2 client calls and had to apologize to everyone. Has anyone else had an AI tool just not get how you actually work?

Are you manually adjusting everything in it or did you set it up to learn your pace first? I had the exact same headache with one of those tools until I realized I needed to go in and change the default time estimates. I spent an hour tweaking the settings to match how long I actually spend on things like emails or client follow ups. Once I did that, it stopped double booking me and actually started working okay. It still messes up sometimes but not as bad as that first week...

Idk I read somewhere that these AI schedulers work better if you sync them with your natural workflow first. Like there's a setting where you can log how long you actually spend on tasks for a few days so it learns your pace. Maybe try that before giving up on it completely. That double booking thing sounds brutal though, sorry you had to deal with that.
