Just realized my air fryer cooks frozen veggies better than fresh
Last week my neighbor Linda told me she only uses frozen broccoli in her air fryer because fresh always comes out burnt on the edges. I tried her trick with a bag of frozen cauliflower from Aldi for $2.50 and it was perfectly crispy in 12 minutes without any oil. Has anyone else switched to frozen stuff for certain air fryer recipes?

Heard a guy on a podcast say frozen veggies are flash frozen at peak ripeness so they actually have more nutrients than the sad fresh ones sitting in your fridge for a week. Makes sense why they cook up better too since they're already prepped and icy.

Right, because my "fresh" broccoli that's been staring at me from the crisper drawer for two weeks is definitely peak nutrition (and also slightly fuzzy). Meanwhile the frozen bag's been chilling in the freezer for six months and is apparently a superfood now. It's almost like the fresh produce aisle is a big scam to make us feel guilty while we throw out slimy spinach.

Oh yeah, I read something similar from a nutritionist who said frozen veggies are actually picked and frozen within hours, while fresh ones can sit in trucks and stores for days before you even buy them. That totally changed my mind about using frozen stuff! And the ice crystals help steam the veggies from the inside in the air fryer so they get that perfect texture without turning into mush. I've been using frozen green beans too, just toss them in for 10 minutes with a little garlic powder and they come out way better than fresh ones that always get wrinkly. Plus it saves so much time not having to wash and chop everything.
