TIL my air fryer basket seasoning needs a 48 hour break, not a rinse

I used to scrub my basket after every batch of fries, but after 3 months the coating started peeling. Leaving it sit for two days with just a paper towel wipe fixed the sticking issue completely, has anyone else found that less cleaning works better?

Tbh the real issue might be that you were washing off the factory seasoning that actually needs to build up over time. Let that grease layer do its job and it works way better than any soap could.
