Had an old timer tell me to never use anti-seize on spark plugs - is he right or just old school?

A retired FedEx mechanic at my hangar swore I'd strip the threads if I used anti-seize on Lycoming plugs, but after 200 hours I pulled one and it was seized solid. Anyone else get conflicting advice on this stuff or is the old way still the best way?

Oh dude totally, I had the exact same thing happen on my Continental. Tried going no anti-seize like the old heads said and regretted it hard when I had to fight that plug out.

Buddy of mine did the same thing on his old BMW (not smart, I know). Ended up snapping a socket trying to get it loose, worst day of his life.
