Swapped a wireless panel for a hardwired one in a warehouse last month
I had a job at a warehouse outside of Tulsa where the wireless system kept dropping signal because of all the metal racks. Switched everything to a hardwired DSC panel with wired sensors and the false alarms stopped completely after 3 tries tweaking the zones. Anyone else run into range issues with wireless in commercial buildings like that?

Wireless in metal buildings is usually fine if you place the panel right.

Depends a lot on what kind of metal we're talking about though, right? Like a steel framed warehouse with metal siding is totally different from a building with just some metal studs and drywall. Have you actually tested this in a fully enclosed metal shipping container or something similar? Because I've heard those can be brutal for signal no matter where you put the panel.
