My swamp cooler made my AC pointless last summer

Switching to a swamp cooler from AC slashed my electricity bill by half.

Yeah I get that for dry climates, but where I live the humidity makes swamp coolers useless. My house just felt sticky and actually got some mold in the corners. They only really work if the air is already dry.

My buddy's place got so sticky everything felt damp.
