PSA: I spent $45 on a 'universal' bottom bracket tool that stripped two cups before I gave up

Come on, it's a bike, not a space shuttle. A cheap multi-tool got me home twice last week. Waiting for the perfect brand name part seems like overkill for a simple flat tire.

I used to think the 'petrified wood' at roadside stands was always fake.

Oh man, same thing with turquoise for me. I bought this cheap "turquoise" ring at a festival, and it started flaking green paint. Then I saw a real piece from a mine, all uneven and waxy looking. It was a total lightbulb moment about how much fake stuff is out there.
