The 68 year old guy at Camera Bar in Scranton spent 20 minutes showing me how to load bulk film
Stopped by Camera Bar in Scranton last Saturday to grab some rolls and this older guy named Walt noticed my beat up Nikon FM2. He pulled out his own bulk loader right there on the counter and showed me his trick of taping the film leader to the spool with a tiny piece of masking tape so it never slips. He gave me 100 feet of expired Tri-X he had sitting in his fridge since 2019 and said to just go shoot it and see what happens. Anyone else have a bulk loading setup they actually use or did you give up after one tangled mess?
Did you actually shoot that expired Tri-X yet and how did it turn out? Walt sounds like the kind of guy who'd tell you to rate it a stop slow and just roll with whatever weird colors come back.
