Hot take: watching anime at 1.5x speed fixed my backlog problem and I feel zero guilt
I had 47 shows sitting in my queue and kept dropping everything by episode 3, so I tried bumping to 1.5x during dialogue scenes only. Now I finish a 12 episode season in 2 sittings, and honestly the pacing in most shows feels better. Does anyone else do this or am I ruining anime for myself?

Wait, you have 47 shows in your queue? That is a WILD number to just have sitting there collecting dust. I get the speed thing for slow parts but skipping through at 1.5x for a whole season just sounds like you are speed reading a book and missing the whole point of why people watch in the first place.
