Been hearing techs say you should never use dielectric grease on dryer thermal fuses. I think that's wrong.
Was at a supply house in Denver last month and a guy was yelling about how grease causes fuses to fail. I've been putting a thin coat on the terminals for 15 years and my callbacks on dryers are almost zero. Keeps the connections from corroding in basements. Has anyone actually had a fuse fail from grease or is this just something that gets repeated?

Is it really that big of a deal either way? I mean, we're talking about a fuse that costs like three bucks and takes two minutes to swap. If the grease makes you feel better about the job, slap it on. I doubt the fuse cares one way or the other. ivanl76, you're overthinking this one, man. These things fail from heat over time, not a little goop on the terminal.
