I finally had a day with zero equipment failures last Tuesday

Been doing tree work for about 8 years now and I swear something always breaks or jams up on a job. Chainsaw needs sharpening mid-crown, chipper eats a rock, rope gets frayed. Last Tuesday we had a big white oak removal in a tight backyard near downtown and everything just worked. My 461 ran clean all morning, the chipper didn't clog once even on some gnarly brush, and my lowering line held up perfect on a 14 foot limb. Felt like winning the lottery. Anyone else have that one magical day where nothing went sideways?

Man, that's one of those days you just sit back and appreciate. 8 years in this line of work and I'm pretty sure I can count the perfect days on one hand. Had one myself back in 2022 on a big oak removal in a spot where the house was real close to the drop zone. My 362 ran like a dream, the chipper didn't eat a single piece of gravel, and the lowering line held steady on a heavy limb that I was nervous about. It's a weird feeling when nothing breaks, like the universe finally gave you a break for all the mornings you spent fighting with a dull chain or a clogged chipper. Those days help you forget the other 364 that went sideways.
