Hot take: Store bought crackers are ruining snack plates

I keep seeing people load up their boards with flavored Triscuits or those little peanut butter sandwich crackers, and it drives me nuts. A good snack plate needs plain, sturdy crackers like a simple water cracker or a saltine, because anything flavored clashes with the cheese and spreads. Last week at a potluck in Springfield, someone brought a plate with rosemary crackers and brie, and all you could taste was the rosemary. Has anyone else noticed how much the cracker choice matters for the whole balance?

Haven't you ever had a flavored cracker that actually made the cheese taste better?

Wait, @the_felix, aren't you basically just eating a fancy flavored chip at that point though? I mean the cracker is doing all the work and the cheese is just along for the ride.
