Serious question, did anyone else used to hate smoked paprika on snacks?
I always thought smoked paprika was just for show, like a fancy dusting that didn't do anything. But then my buddy Mike brought over a snack plate with roasted chickpeas coated in it last spring. One bite and I was hooked. Has anyone else been surprised by a seasoning that totally changed their snack game?

Had the same thing happen but with smoked paprika on popcorn. Made it in the microwave with oil and a heavy hand of the stuff, tasted like campfire popcorn or something. Never looked back at plain salt.

Plain salt is boring though. Smoked paprika on popcorn is a game changer, why would anyone go back to that? Campfire flavor is a win in my book, makes it feel like you're actually eating something worth snacking on. Regular salt just sits there, no personality, no depth. You do you with the plain stuff, I guess.
