Why does every cracker tube split at the same weak spot?
I spent three whole weekends last month trying to build a proper snack plate for a family reunion in Dayton, and I kept ruining it because my crackers kept breaking. It wasn't the crackers themselves, it was the way I stored them in those tall thin tubes. Every single tube, no matter the brand, splits right in the middle when you push the plunger down too fast. I finally timed it after the third failed plate: it took me 42 minutes total to realize I needed to lay the tube on its side and press super slowly, two crackers at a time. Who else has dealt with this dumb packaging flaw, and what trick do you use to keep your crackers intact without transferring them to a separate container?
