Traded half a tube of phthalo green for a brush set near Portland
A lady at the Portland Art Supply Swap meet last March gave me a whole set of Winsor & Newton brushes just for a half-used tube of phthalo green I was about to toss. She said she needed that exact shade for a sky she was blending, and I was just staring at my dried-up brushes. Anyone else end up with gear they didn't expect just by being at the right swap table?

Oh man, that's the dream scenario right there! I swear half my best finds have come from people just wanting to ditch something for a specific color they're hunting.

You ever trade something stupid like an old eraser for a whole sketchbook? I swapped a beat-up palette knife for a nearly full set of watercolor pans once, felt like I got away with something.
