Threw $300 at a standing desk converter and my back feels worse now
I bought one of those standing desk converters off Amazon about 2 months ago because I sit all day and thought it would fix my slouching. It was around $300, one of those heavy dual monitor ones with gas springs. Set it up in my office and started using it for like 4 hours a day standing. Now my lower back is actually killing me more than before, and I think it's because the thing doesn't go high enough for my height (I'm 6'1"). I end up hunching my shoulders to type, which is probably worse than sitting. Has anyone else dealt with a converter that just didn't fit your body right?

300 bucks just to learn you're not tall enough for a desk, that's a pricey life lesson about ergonomics. At 6'1" you basically bought an expensive hunching machine instead of a standing setup. Sounds like you got scammed by a product designed for people who are 5'8" and never see 6 feet in their life.
