Cheap heated grips changed my winter commute too.

Saw a video from some guy in Finland testing cheap grips against expensive ones. He ran them in actual snow and ice, not just cold pavement like most of us. The cheap ones held up surprisingly well over a whole season (though his wiring was a bit janky). Makes me think the markup is more about branding than actual performance sometimes. Still, I'd rather spend the savings on better gloves personally.

That Finland test is exactly what I needed to see. The fact that the cheap ones survived a whole season of actual snow and ice definitely proves the branding markup is way higher than most people want to admit.
