Open deck shipping beat enclosed for my classic Mustang, here's why
I shipped a 1967 Mustang from Austin to Phoenix last month and went against everyone's advice by choosing open transport. Paid $680 versus the $1,150 quoted for enclosed, and the driver actually let me strap my own wheel chocks down after seeing how picky I was. The car arrived with zero rock chips or dings, just a layer of dust that washed off in 10 minutes. Has anyone else had a good open deck run with a older car, or did I just get stupid lucky?
