Dropped $340 on a bootleg Garmin GNS 430 training sim and it was a paperweight
Saw a listing on a Facebook group back in February for a "GNS 430 trainer" for $340, guy said it was pulled from a working bench setup in Wichita. Turns out it was just a gutted faceplate with a Raspberry Pi hot glued inside, no database, no buttons that actually clicked, nothing. I spent two evenings trying to get it to talk to my laptop before I opened the case and saw the mess. Anyone know where to actually get a decent 430 sim for bench practice without paying retail, or should I just build one off a real unit?
