I spent 6 years torquing coax connectors wrong, a NASA doc set me straight
Turns out I was wrenching SMA and TNC connectors down way past spec, chasing a lower VSWR reading that just moved the problem. A buddy at Kennedy Space Center sent me a NASA crimp and torque guide that showed I was over 30% over on most of my cable ends. The real fix was using a proper torque wrench with the right adapter, not my calibrated elbow. Anyone else in the shop still going by feel on these, or am I the only stubborn one?
