Warning: An old head at the hangar told me to ignore the intermittent fault code on a G1000

I listened and it turned into a full system failure during a pre-flight check in Dallas. Anyone else had a 'just ignore it' tip blow up in their face?

Ignoring small warnings is how you get big problems, in planes or anything else.
