My telescope went from blurry blob to crisp craters after I swapped the eyepiece
Couple weeks ago in Phoenix I could only see a fuzzy smudge where Jupiter should've been, then I dug out a cheap 6mm eyepiece from a yard sale bin and the moons popped like pinpricks, has anyone else had a night-and-day change just from switching glass?
Man that's such a great feeling when something finally clicks like that. I remember fighting with my scope for weeks thinking I had a bad mirror or something, turns out the stock eyepiece was just garbage. It's wild how much the glass matters, even on a cheap setup. You probably went from like 25mm to that 6mm and the whole view changed, makes you wonder what else you've been missing. Glad you stuck with it, cause that moment when the detail shows up is exactly why we deal with all the fuss.
