Can we talk about how Sharknado 2 is actually better than the first one
I saw both of them streaming on Tubi this month and the original is too slow with characters taking themselves seriously, but the sequel leans into the cheese from minute one with that cameo from the Today Show hosts getting eaten.

Oh man, Sharknado 2 is a masterpiece of nonsense. I watched the first one with a straight face the whole time and felt embarrassed for everyone involved, but the sequel had me cackling at the sheer audacity of that chainsaw scene. It is honestly the kind of movie I would have made in my backyard with my dad's old power tools if I had a budget and some spare fish.

Ha! Right? The first one was trying so hard to be a real disaster movie and it just landed flat. The sequel knew exactly what it was and went full stupid from the jump, like who else is gonna have Al Roker get eaten by a shark on live TV?
