Rant: My friend said Troll 2 was overrated and now I can't look at them the same
They literally told me the corn-eating scene wasn't funny while we were watching it last Saturday and I just sat there like are we even watching the same movie?

Oh, you've been getting that too? It stings every time, right? I had a similar thing happen with my chili recipe last year. My brother in law said it was "fine, nothing special" and it bugged me for weeks. What finally worked for me was just saying "thanks for the feedback" and then moving on, because honestly, people have different palates. Some folks just don't like bold flavors or spices, and that's not my problem to fix. I realized I was cooking for my own satisfaction first, not for a popularity contest. So I'd say keep making what you like, and let their taste buds be their own business.
