That friend who said 'The Room is a masterpiece' was actually right

My buddy Mark kept pushing me to watch The Room for years. I finally gave in about 3 months ago and we invited 8 people over for a viewing. Half the room was crying with laughter by the time the rooftop scene came on. Has anyone else had a friend's bad movie recommendation actually turn out to be a perfect choice?

Hang on, you're calling it a masterpiece? I mean, sure, it's hilarious for all the wrong reasons but calling it a masterpiece feels like a stretch (even if it's a joke). It's a disaster of a movie that's fun to laugh at with friends, but I wouldn't go putting it on a pedestal or anything.

Heard some film critic call it "so bad it's good art" yesterday... kinda fits.
