I baked my 500th loaf this morning and just stared at my hands
Nine years ago I could not get a loaf to rise past a brick, and today I pulled number 500 out of the oven at 6am before work. I started counting in a notebook back in 2017 after my third batch of hockey pucks, and the tally snuck up on me way faster than I expected. My wife laughed and asked if I got a trophy, but honestly it just made me think about how many of those loaves were bad. For the folks who bake a lot, do you keep any kind of count or log, or am I just weird for tracking mine in a spiral notebook?
