Hit 100 pounds of tomatoes off a 4x6 balcony this year
I've been growing on this tiny balcony since 2019, and I never counted before. This season I finally kept a rough tally because my wife dared me. 100 pounds off maybe 12 pots, mostly Sungolds and a few Better Boys. That number blew my mind because back in 2020 I got maybe 15 pounds and thought I was doing great. What changed? Switched to 5 gallon fabric pots, started bottom watering with a tray, and stopped over-pruning. I still have no idea if that's a normal yield for this space or if I got lucky with the weather. Has anyone else ever weighed their harvest just out of curiosity? What's your balcony record? I need to know if I set a real bar or if I'm just bragging to myself.
