Clipper oil on my razor finally won me over

I spent years thinking any oil was fine for my straight razor, just grabbed whatever kitchen oil was around. Last month a customer told me his barber used clipper oil on his face shave and swore by it. Tried it on my own neck one slow Tuesday, and the glide was way smoother with zero tug on my coarse spots. Now I keep a small bottle at my station, anyone else made that switch or still think it's a gimmick?

Wait, your customer said his barber used clipper oil for a face shave? That's wild to me, I always figured clipper oil was too thin and meant for blades that never touch skin.
