Foil shaver changed my bald fade game after 8 years
Foil shaver changed my bald fade game after 8 years. Been doing bald fades since I started cutting out of my garage in Austin, always used my clippers zero gapped and spent forever cleaning up the hairline. Last Tuesday a buddy let me borrow his foil shaver for a client who wanted that super smooth skin finish, and it took me half the time to get a line so crisp the guy checked it in the mirror twice. I thought foils were only for old guys doing full head shaves, but using it just on the transition zone below the fade really cleaned up the spots my clippers kept missing. It cost me about $60 to grab a basic one for my kit, and I've used it on 3 clients since with zero complaints. Anyone else messed around with foils just for detail work, or is that overkill for most shops?
