Switched from clippers to shears for my bald fades and it finally clicked after 3 heads of trial and error

Used to just run a #0 guard straight over the top and call it done but now I actually blend the transition point with thinning shears and my guys are coming back every 2 weeks on the dot, has anyone else found that switching tools for a specific cut made a bigger difference than you expected?

Disagree a little bit here. Shears in the blend zone can get finicky if you don't keep them sharp and adjusted, I've seen guys mess up a whole fade trying to notch out weight with dull shears. Good clipper work with the right lever technique gets you cleaner lines without the extra tool in my experience.

Totally agree with @the_michael, dull shears will wreck a blend way faster than any clipper mistake.
