The cable management at that eSports cafe near Union Square was so bad it fried someone's GPU

I was there last Saturday watching a tournament and a power strip under a desk caught fire from all the tangled cables, so now I label every single wire with a Brother label maker and check my surge protector once a month, has anyone else seen a setup go up in flames like that?

Whoa, I used to think cable management was just for looks, but this totally changed my mind. Now I treat every power strip like it's a fire hazard because apparently it actually is.

Read a post on a PC building subreddit where a guy's whole setup fried because a cheap power strip melted and shorted out everything connected to it. The worst part was he had three monitors and a custom water loop, all gone because he saved ten bucks on a surge protector. Makes me check my own strips way more often now, especially the ones behind furniture where you cant see them.
