Question about the BBQ pit ban at Riverside Park

Honestly, our town just banned open pit BBQs at Riverside Park. Tbh, some local pitmasters are furious saying it kills tradition, but others argue it prevents fires. Ngl, what do you all think about this?

See this everywhere now. Few people ruin a good thing for everyone, then we get a new rule instead of just dealing with the actual problem.

Totally get what you mean, charlie_hayes50. My apartment building did this with the bike room. A couple people left junk bikes forever, so they banned all personal locks and made us use their weak system. Now my new bike is less secure because of two lazy people. It's like at public pools, a few runners cause a "no running" rule for everyone. Sometimes you just have to find a workaround they didn't think to ban, like a good chain lock for the bike frame.

Know what my friend dealt with at his complex? They had a nice grill area until a few people left it filthy, so management just took all the grills away. It's like your bike lock thing, @grant_hernandez, where the fix ends up making things worse for everyone.
