Went from fighting my offset all night to actually sleeping during a brisket cook, thanks to one cheap thing
Two summers ago I did a 14 pound brisket on my Oklahoma Joe and sat up till 4am babying the fire every 30 minutes. Temps swung 75 degrees all night. Now I run a $12 charcoal basket and a water pan and I checked it twice total on a 13 hour cook in my backyard in Tulsa. Not saying I'm some pro now, but actually getting sleep on a cook night feels like a win. What's the one cheap add-on that made your pit way easier to run?
